As the hearings go into the third day, SCOTUS nominee, Sam Alito, and his family begin to succumb to the effects of rising levels of toxic gas eminating from the gasbag Democrats of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
They must have strong consitutions to have held up this long.

Ha...what a great pic!!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
Hey, that's the Tim Blair Sympathy tilt in action... guarantee it.

Snore...Oh, sorry, now what were you saying?
Did you see the AP Wire pic of Leahy and a bunch of other Dems with their hands covering their faces (either dejectedly or from boredom.. couldn't tell.)? It was a good one.
I didnt see it. The Dems are upset that they can't 'Bork' Alito. They can't even 'Clarence Thomas' him. This is making them gloomy.
I guess they do lean a little to the right. No harm in that.
Whoa, talk about being in synch. Now lean to the right.
Some of the Dems are going too far. I wish they would give Alito the repsect he deserves, ask him questions that are relevant, and then cast a vote. The badgering is uncalled for. I hope people see the difference between this hearing and how Clinton's nominees were treated.
Leaning to the right...I like that.
I also think this man deserves, at the very least, the respect Ruth Bader Ginzburg received from the Republicans, but I guess that is too much to ask.
It's pretty bad when Senators make a nominee's wife cry. I know it happened when one of Alito's supporters was speaking, but it was an outgrowth of the nasty line of questioning from some of the dems.
Shame on them.

I think politics in general have become very uncivilized on both sides of the aisle. And it was a crying shame about Mrs. Alito.
It looks like all three are letting out a silent but deadly fart.
Perhaps they were just following Teddy's leaning as the "iced teas" he was drinking caught up with him.
The tremor in his hands is very noticeable.
They are not tilting. They are moving their heads from left to right in order to view all of Ted Kennedy's bloat.
miriam: for a second I read your comment as 'Ted Kennedy's boat' & I thought to myself, boat? Teddy doesn't use a boat, in water, he prefers a car. Then I saw the 'L' & felt a little foolish ;-) I'm better now.
