Feingold Censure
Is Senator Russell Feingold (D-WI) demonstrating the number of Democrats voting for his proposal to censure President Bush? No, because he couldn't get even one to stand up for that.
Is Senator Feingold demonstrating how many votes he'll get in the 2008 Presidential Primary? Maybe if his immediate family votes for him.
This is the Feingold of the McCain/Feingold campaign reform legislation fiasco. This is the same Feingold who voted against the Patriot Act during a time of war.
I think Feingold is demonstrating the number of neurons in his head.

From my perspective it's refreshing to see someone, anyone, find the cajones to stand up against Bush instead of just whining about it. That said, I heard in the news this morning most Democrats are distancing themselves from him on this.
Funny the way you set up the post, Cube.
Uh, sar.. Feingold could barely even stand up for it himself. :)
He whined and then ran. Another cowardly Dem. Love it.
sar: tlm is right. Feingold spoke and then ran to his office. Specter even commented on Feingold's ability to rant for 20 minutes on censure in contrast to his inability to stand and answer questions about it. It was a sorry sight.
To sar's credit, she should be thrilled that any Senator answered the pleas of the hard core Democrat blogging community this time. I have no doubt they badgered Feingold (he's their #2 ally in the Senate, next to Boxer) until he relented.
Feingold knows it wasn't a smart thing to do though.
I'm definitely not a Feingold fan.
I guess with Paul Wellstone gone, somebody had to step up and be the radical left's point person. He's out there, that's for sure.

Right now, he's way out on a limb all by himself.
