I saw a World War II veteran on TV this morning and he said that America was "fat, dumb, and happy" when the Japanese attacked and we should never be in that position again.
Absolutely prophetic. I can't think of a better way to describe us on 9-10, and we're slowly but surely sliding back into it.
IMO, the biggest slap in the face to those Vets, particularly the PH survivors is the 9-11 review, and one quote in particular. I'm not sure who made it, as I heard the snippet on the radio while doing chores this morning, but it was basically that we should TALK to our enemies in the ME, because after all, we resolved the Cold War with Russia with TALK.

We have been saying this since 9/11. So how do we get people to listen? My concern is that we will only listen when the bombs start fallin. Better get the draft going, as it's coming.
