Vodka Bottle

Did you hear about the two-month old hospitalized with an ethanol level of 0.364 - more than 4 times the legal limit for an adult?

Unbelievable, but true. Drunk Baby .

Although the article doesn't mention it, I heard on the news that vodka had "accidentally" been mixed into the formula instead of water.

That's about as possible as "accidentally" baking the baby in a casserole.

I saw that story. I hope the baby will be ok. Vodka in a water bottle, ugh. What were they thinking. No excuses!

I think they were trying to sedate the baby. The "parents" sound like a couple of real winners. The authorities were trying to find the mother's boyfriend who lives in his car.

Just because you can have children doesn't mean you should.

I heard that story too, and was so upset could'nt read the whole thing.

Can't imagine anyone doing that!

i heard there was a good possibility they'd been giving the baby alcohol for quite sometime for it to have withstood that bac. that would kill a first timer. sick people.

shover: yes, it's hard to believe some people's reprehensible behavior especially in light of what nanc said about the baby's tolerance to ethanol. This wasn't the first time.

nanc: sick is right. I'd put them in jail.

It's deplorable. I hadn't thought about what Nanc said: that the baby had built a tolerance. That means that he will likely have to be detoxed!

My first thought, too, was trying to sedate a crying baby. What a bunch of asshats.

I hate these stories; I want to strangle the perps every time! There was a story here in Ohio that was so sick I couldn't bring myself to post about it.

brooke: I saw this story and I couldn't bring myself to post about it either. It's too much even for this relatively twisted blog.

I beleive it, an action most likely made by an acoholic. It is the insanity of it all, and hopfully the little baby is ok and the one hiding the drink will discover she/he does not have to live that way.

I hate stories like this. It just floors me that people can be so daggone Stoopit. and selfish. and mean. and selfish.

For goodness sake, if you don't want a crying infant, give her up for adoption. Someone out there does!

bw: That's exactly the point. If they don't want the little bundle of joy, then give it to the tons of couples out there who are willing to take it off your hands & give it a wonderful life. Why harm the child?

I just don't get it.
