Visiting one of my favorite horror blogs,
The Horrors Of It All , I was saddened to learn of the death of legendary scream queen, Hazel Court, on Thursday at the age of 82.
I don't know about you, but I grew up watching her in movies such as "The Raven", "The Premature Burial", "The Masque Of The Red Death", "The Curse Of Frankenstein", and, yes, even "Devil Girl From Mars", along with countless guest starring roles in creepy TV shows such as "The Twilight Zone", et al..
RIP.

I think we have a telepathy thing going on. Several times I have been here at the same time you have been at my place.
And I think I saw all those movies. Love them, love them.
I don't know that I'd call it telepathy, perhaps we should just agree that great minds think alike? ;-)
Another sad passing indeed, they sure don't make actresses like her anymore.
And thanks for stopping by my bog, and also for the plug here. Very very kind of you.
karswell: No, they sure don't make them like Hazel Court any more.
Your 'bog' ;-) is a treat for horror buffs like myself. I learn something new every time I visit.
She was gawgeous.
Unfortunately, the episode of The Twilight Zone she was in was pretty lame. The "twist ending" was laughable.
I'm always saddened when members of Old Hollywood die. I don't think we will ever recreate an era like that.
The stars of today don't even compare, and there's just no glamour like that of Old Hollywood.
she was quite the screamer! i remember seeing most of those movies as a young'un. however, after i had children later in life cannot watch them anymore. it's like the desire just left in one swell foop!
I remember those old movies. It is sad because soon the grand days of Hollywood will soon be gone.
