Segway To Doom

I couldn't not post about this:

Segway Company Owner Jimi Heselden Dies In freak Accident After Riding One Of The Machines Off A Cliff And Into A River

I don't want to speak ill of the dead, but if I'm anywhere near a cliff, I think I'd rather be on a skateboard than a segway.

I even worry about those grannies in the commercials when they're on their Hoverounds near the Grand Canyon. I always yell at them to get away from the edge...

This is an awful thing.

a really awful thing, indeed.
I'd have hoped he could have jumped off the thing, but who knows what happened.
poor man.
money can't buy you everything, can it. or keep you safe.

It's just crazy, Z. Why would anybody be near a cliff with one of these crazy things? It's like me being near the edge of a cliff with a hoolahoup? Or a JingleJump? Comon.

Tragic and weird. People seem to find more and more ways to have fatal accidents.

aw so sad Cube..............

cube - I always think it is odd when the million(or billion)aires die in this manner. Like Steve Fossett.

You wouldn't find me on a segway or off of one near the edge of a cliff (like those grannies you mentioned!)

This is either really good for business, or really bad for business. Depending on who you're marketing to.

Oh, wow.

We see Segways all over the place here. In fact, officers at shopping malls patrol via Segways.

OMGosh! It's almost like a cartoon, it's so improbable.

How terrible.

The owner of the huge international store my hubby works for zips about on one of those things, patrolling his business.

Jan: This one really takes the cake.

WomanHonorThyself: Very tragic.

Sue: Yeah, I remember the Fossett case. They didn't find his body for months. I guess all the money in the world doesn't protect you from doing stupid things.

Sue: lol. You won't find me near the edge either.

Josh: Hmmm, bad for the Segway seller, but good for the guy who picks up scrap metal.

Always On Watch: They're safe enough when you keep away from steep ledges.

Brooke: I know. What was he thinking?

I wanted to write a post about this, but the irony just kept beating the crap out of me.
