My eldest was the one who heard of his passing and came into the room and remarked, "Uncle Leo died," and no further explanation was required. We knew who it was and we were all saddened.
For years we kept our girls away from Seinfeld because we didn't think it was appropriate for children, but they're old enough now to watch the reruns and it's fun to have them share the humor with us.
Huge Seinfeld fanatic here and I loved Uncle Leo. The episode where Jerry tried to convince Leo that he was an Adonis and in the same episode backtracked and told him he was repugnant was a classic. I will always remember that salutation of his, Jerry...Hellooooo! So sorry he is gone.
T.T. Douglas: Yeah, hang on to her like grim death! That was a funny episode, but there was so much humor in the entire show, it's hard for me to pick just one.
My husband read the news and commented to me that Uncle Leo had died. I also knew exactly to whom he was referring and knew there would be mention in your blog. I couldn't believe it - how sad! Rest in Peace . . .
Patrick Carroll: I agree. Since my daughters are now old enough to watch the reruns, we're reliving the humor with them. They're finally getting the jokes we've been rehashing all these years.

A great character actor!
Oh no! Truly saddened by his passing... I loved Seinfeld.
RIP.
Always On Watch: He certainly didn't lack for work. His resume is long and very impressive.
Karen Howes: Me, too. Big fan.

He will truly be missed, but at least he leaves behind a great legacy - Seinfeld ROCKS!!!

Anonymous: All of us "Seinfeld" fans were saddened to hear of Uncle Leo's passing.
I only watched Seinfeld occasionally so I don't recognize Len Lesser. May he rest in peace.
