Fashion Victims

A model presents a creation for French fashion house Guy Laroche as part of their Spring/Summer 2007 ready-to-wear fashion collection in Paris.

Will someone please bring this poor girl a sandwich! She looks seriously skeletal.

While I'm on the subject of fashion victims...

If you're a fan of Project Runway, you know Season 3 is nearing its finale...

Go Laura!

To watch Season 1 winner Jay McCarroll trash each and every one of the Season 3 contestants, go here and click on Jay's photo.

Me-ow! Jay, don't hold back. Tell us how you really feel. ;-)

My hubby said he saw an interview with one of these models, wherein she disclosed what she usually ate for the entire day.

You ready?

Here it is:

One piece of dry toast, and a plum.

I am so proud of my 64 kg. I am happy, I eat each time I need it, and my smile shines!
How is it possible to survive in that way? It's not life...

brooke: sad, isn't it. That's not even a decent snack in my book.

woman: you've gone too far if you look like a concentration camp survivor.

voracious: it doesn't even look healthy.

marziotta: absolutely. It's not life.

Glad you posted on this Cube. I saw her on the news this evening. Very, very scary looking.

"Fashion" has been on a slippery slope for many years, but any model who has the body of a prisoner of war should not be employed until she "fills out" a little. Of course, the entirely unwarranted levels of free publicity just wouldn't be the same though, would it?

You can't buy free PR!

Oh, yeah, the fashion industry has nothing to do with our current problem with eating disorders. I mean look at her, she's perfectly healthy.

Personally, any designer that uses these stick figure models are lazy and have no real talent. Sewing for curvy figures is harder and takes alot more talent.

caz & nicole: judging by this model, the fashion industry is out of control.

trailer: she won't eat that. Pass those biscuits an' gravy over to me ;-)

Holy cripes!
That's way way too skinny.
I saw an old lady the other day who was about that skinny. Her doctor put her into the HOSPITAL to make her gain weight.
Um...hmm.
