Investigate This

If you only read one article about the Rep. Mark Foley affair, it really should be Clarice Feldman's Investigate This at The American Thinker.

Feldman's article is an excellent read. First, she outlines the "peculiar and suspicious genesis of the Foley matter" with the fake but accurate blog.

Then she highlights the history of leniency towards wayward Democrats versus the public flogging received by wayward Republicans.

In short, this article exposes the concerted effort by the MSM to turn this scandal into a reason to vote Democrat in Novemember.

Kudos to Clarice on this one.

Blogger has been buggy again today. Apparently, the spam bloggers are still slowing the system down.

Great image Cube!..and yes, the obsession with morality is one sided by the Dems as always!

At this point as far as I am concerned, it's all spin. Doesn't matter who or what party, it is all made to suit the occasion.

Can't trust the media when it comes to politics. Nowadays I just change the channel. The bad part is it's every 10 seconds on CNN, so I just stopped watching. Thank you Fark. Least they mock both sides.

Truly horrific:

I KID YOU NOT: Literally five minutes ago I got a call from a Dem front group insisting that I call my GOP congressman and insist that he start arresting other republicans, citing "evidence" that it's been going on for years...

They haven't even formed a Grand Jury yet, for crikey's sake!

I'll be posting on this later!

I am amazed and sickened by the media's insane focus on this issue. It is a private matter between Mr. Foley, his victims (if there truly are any) and the law (if laws have been broken). But to call for the resignation of the Speaker of the House because of this??! I'm speechless. Perhaps for the 1st time EVER!!

Why is it the right always scream "media bias" everytime one of theirs get caught!?!

Why did Foley resign if it's just "media bias"? Why, Why, Why?

Next time, Please Spay And Neuter Your Republicans!

... and, you might want to answer this question...

The Republicans Are In Power. Do You Know Where Your Kids Are!?!

franksk: Comments are welcome, but you should post your full-blown screeds on your own blog.

brooke: If you didn't know better, you'd conclude that the rule of law only applies to liberal democrats.

windypoo: I'm not going to defend Foley's actions, but he has resigned for far less thant stunts the democrats have pulled over the years (including a sitting president). If you didn't know beter, you'd conclude that the rules of ethics and morals only apply to republicans.

karen: liberals scream like sniveling, bratty children, whereas conservatives point out media bias using logically constructed arguments which are bolstered by facts. Obviously, you didn't bother to read the Feldman piece, and from that I conclude that you don't want to be confused by the facts.

"confused by the facts"...

...therein lies (your) problem.

karen: you didn't read the article, did you? Nope, because you're too busy holding your hands over your ears, with your eyes closed, rocking back & forth repeating the words, "I don't hear the facts. I don't see the facts, The facts aren't real!"

Foley is a creepy, disgusting man. I'm glad he was removed immediately when the hideous instant messages came to light. I read the emails, which were not sexual in nature, and the IM's which were outrageously inappropriate. If anyone knew about the IM's and held on and did not do anything, then I want them run out of town on a rail, pronto! This goes for anyone in either party. I believe there's more info about who knew what, when. If people purposely used this as a political October surprise, I hope they are found out and exposed.
I hate that there is a double standard in politics. Dems should be careful not to overplay their supposed hand in this matter when they had a member of Congress who had sex with a page and then was re-elected to several more terms.
Foley should be prosecuted to the full extent the law allows, but this matter is being used to try and make all Repubs look bad. I don't think it will work once this firestorn calms a bit and more info is revealed on the matter.

j.d.: I agree. I want this investigated and I want the facts to be made public. If a news outlet knew about this & sat on it to make political hay, well I want to know that too.
