Time's Up

From the Better Living Through Chemistry Department comes news that serial killer Danny Rollings was executed at 6:13 PM EST at Florida State Prison, 16 years after his Gainesville murder spree.

Good riddance to bad trash.

One of the death penalty protesters outside the prison said Rollings should not be executed because the execution would simply give Rolling what he wanted: more attention.

Maybe so, but hopefully it was enough attention to make any other heathens out there stop in their tracks before they commit a similar crime.

Now if we can only do something about the approximate 12 year average that these beasts languish on death row...

Did it ever occur to those bleeding hearts that they were providing Rollings the very attention he so craved by protesting his execution?

Execution is the kind of "attention" I don't mind giving to these monsters.

One of our Texas politicians wants to "protect the children". He wants to sentence child rapists and abusers to 25 to life. If they do it again, execution. So, if they are doing 25 to life, when do they get time to do it again? Plus if they go to death row, they will sit there for years before anything happens.

jill: 25 to life doesn't mean 25 to life thanks to soft-on-crime liberals and activist judges who wring their hands over the criminals' rights and give little- to-no thought over the victims.

Imagine how much worse it would be if the democrats ran everything.

The death penalty should be vastly expanded, IMHO.

Ohio flushed one this week, too. Good riddance.

Carrying out executions is one of the things that Florida does right.
