And here in Oz I find their patties to be tasteless and dry!.
Mind you, our family rarely eat take out as my hubby and me both like to cook. Lot's of people eat the stuff though, so I guess it's just what you get used to.
i am personally boycotting mcdee's as a matter of principle - the halal stance they've taken has me disgusted - however, i never really liked much on their menu except for the sausage/egg mcmuffin.
This is one of the reasons why I love the Internet. I wouldn't have known about this if you hadn't warned me about it. I thank you for this, nanc.
Still, I will crave Big Macs, on those occasions that I will allow myself to indulge, and I will also remember the McDonald's corporation's desire to make money.
They're not necessarily pro-Moslem, but they're pro-money.
yeah, well i'm pro-principle in this matter and have only eaten a breakfast at mcdee's (the only place to eat on a trip) since i started boycotting them - i was sick to do it - in my mind anyway.

Yum...now I want one!! Thanks ; )
I'm a Quarter Pounder with Cheese kinda girl, but I wouldn't turn down a Big Mac.
I haven't had anything from McDonald's in a long, long time.
Happy Birthday, Big Mac!
At the risk of being pilloried....
I hate Big Mac's!.
Don't like soggy buns and lettuce.
Prefer the salad to be crisp.

anne basso: I hear you.
j.d.: I don't eat Big Macs often, but there are times when nothing else hits the spot.
Can you believe I've never had a Quarterpounder.
kathy: Tasteless & dry? I think they're yum.

They could add all the special sauce in the world, and all McDonald's burgers would still be the taste and texture of cardboard.
"Taste" in relation to McDonald's is an oxymoron.
Even their fries have no flavor, which is a remarkable achievement in its own perverse way.
McDonald's already have at least one halah-certified outlet in Melbourne, not my side of town though. Was introduced a couple of years ago.
Can't say that I would be too thrilled about eating meat from an animal that has been bled to death facing mecca.
I expect it tastes exactly the same, but my feelings over the killing and the mecca would stick in the throat.
I imagine Muslims feel much the same about our meat that didn't die facing mecca ...
