Cat Blog Friday

For this Cat Blog Friday...

...cats who live in a cafe where catless cat lovers can come and visit with them.

Cat Cafe Soothes Tokyo's Busy Feline Lovers

I can't imagine living in a place that doesn't allow animals, but that's me.

Happy Friday, everybody!

We have a bookstore in town that has affectionate cats for the customers to play with, but when the owner wanted to sell coffee, the powers that be would not allow both beverages and animals. Go figure.

Those pesky health department rules!

I think that's pretty cool! :D

that one looks just like clawed mewnet!

>^00^< pkak!

you don't think they're related, do you?

brooke: It's cool for people who just can't have pets. I'd rather have my own.

nanc: I thought that as soon as I saw the pic because your clawed mewnet looks just like our pretty pepper.

Domestic short haired gray tabbies are a dime a dozen... even in Japan.

Aw, what a cutie!

When I was a kid, there was a kitty that lived at our library. His food bowl was up on top of one of the short stacks, so we could all watch him eat, etc. He was very sweet and VERY patient...

Church I grew up in had a neighborhood cat that would wander in during services. It would meander up and down the aisle, sit in the sanctuary, then wander out. Caused quite a few chuckles!
I won't tell you what the woodpeckers used to do...

I think it's lovely that animal lovers in Japan have this sort of outlet.

That's a cute kitty pic too.

Thank you for posting something positive about Japan on the anniversary of Pearl Harbor.

(Actually, that has nothing to do with why I like this. The kitty is prosh, that's all.)

cube - you calling clawed mewnet "ordinary"?

hehehe...

I love Bengal kitties! Gorgeous creatures!

I can't imagine living without pets--particularly cats. Yes, sometimes they're a pain, but the rewards far surpass the expense and any inconvenience.

Good grief, you mean I could start a business with my 15 freaking cats and have catless people come put them AND charge them money?!?

Where do I sign up?

Make those felines learn the value of a dollar.

It's always nice to see cats that are so well socialized that they get along with many humans.

If we set up a cat cafe with our current group of 3 cats, we'd be angling for a lawsuit. Our cats aren't even friendly to everyone in our house, much less a stranger!

Well, I can rule out that our latest stray came from a place like that. After the comment you left, I've been reading up on feral cats and the degree by which they behave that way depending on how long they've been without human contact and at what age. Our guy actually swatted my mom yesterday and, based on her swollen hand, we're probably going to keep him as an outside cat. He'll come in the house and eat as long as the door stays open, but he hisses if you come closer than three feet. It was five a few weeks ago, and he's young, so maybe there's hope, but we're definitely not going to try petting him again any time soon.

mcf: The trick to win over a cat is to not rush them. Patience and food will win that cat over if it isn't too late.

aow: Oh yeah. Beautiful cat and a beautiful cabin.

nanc: Not ordinary, but the DSH breed is everywhere.

You are so on your way to becoming a pkak lover and this proves it
;-)

nanc: Besides, your clawed looks just like my pretty Pepper!
