Micro Reactor

Toshiba Builds 100x Smaller Micro Nuclear Reactor

At 20 feet by 6 feet in size, and powered by reservoirs of liquid lithium-6 (an isotope that is effective at absorbing neutrons), it would produce electricity at about half the cost of grid energy.

Cool.

they're spending three dollars for every two dollars in wind energy in canada...

and ethanol costs eighty cents for a dollar's worth...

wonder what is the thinking behind all this craziness?

did you see the news last night where the israeli's have put the old testament on an inky-dinky, little thing the size of a very small pea? too cool.

MERRY CHRISTmas, cuberilliacs!

Saving money and energy is a good thing, but it shouldn't cost more in resources. I don't get it.

No, I missed the news about the tiny-sized old Testament.

And a blessed Merry Christmas to you and all the nancs.

I want one too, but it will take some time. Toshiba plans to install the first in one in 2008 and will market to Europe & USA in 2009.
