First they came for the streaming of infinging video material...

Well, this is strange... and disturbing.
That is strange. Is this the continuation of the Obama anti-free speech campaign? These infringements on our 1st amendment rights must stop!
Is this a sign of things to come?
I heard about this. Seems like there is more to the story than we are hearing. Were they really following copyright laws?
Don't get me wrong, I think Obama will squelch free speech in a heart beat but this smells a little to me.
I would not be surprised if they shut down blogs for using copy write images.
I haven't heard a thing about this b4... weird. But if it was a free site, well, you get what you pay for.
I'm always telling teachers not to use the free grading programs - get a contract with a pay one, because then you have SOME recourse if they screw up...

Karen Howes: Yes. I think the most disturbing thing about it is the secrecy.
Teresa: BO shows no sign of letting up on that cause.
Jan: I hope not, but 73,000+ blogs went poof and one barely hears a thing about it. This sounds like something out of Communist China.
Chuck: Good point. One of the problems about how this was handled is the secrecy. No one knows what happened and everyone who does know has been gagged.
What is up with that?
Trestin: I wouldn't be surprised either, but suppose Blogger had a few blogs that violated copyright laws. Should all of the blogs on Blogger be shut down as a result? And in total secrecy and with no recourse? This just stinks on ice to me.
Birdwoman: I'm on Blogger and it's free. It makes me wonder why someone hasn't come up with a service to publish a blog into book form.
BTW what is a grading program? I thought teachers graded their own papers.
What will they come for next?
Anyone who opposes the present administration?
AlwaysOnWatch: I hear ya! I'm not comforted that this administration is all that concerned about the rule of law.
