Mexico Arrests Man With 18 Titi Monkeys Around His Waist
These poor animals were rolled up in socks and slung on a belt! Two were dead, but luckily the rest are expected to lead a normal life.
I'd like to roll this smuggler up in a sock and sling him off a cliff.

Every day it's a new bizarre sad story from the border.
Ok. This is a weird one. I personally do not care for monkey and they do not like me. However, I sure don't want to see them harmed. Anyone who uses and abuses animals is horrible and should be rolled up in a tube sock and hung.
Trestin: You're right. Mexico and the border areas seem to be in extremis right now and it isn't just human victims as witnessed by this story.
Ananda Girl: I don't like large monkeys or apes, but the little third world monkeys can be rather cute, although not as a pet. NEVER as a pet.

Ah, yes, animal abuse. Just another element, like driving drunk, of machismo Mexican culture.
Karen Howes: I don't know that it's limited to Mexico, but the machismo culture is bad news wherever it occurs.
I don't like the idea of a larger and more powerful being picking on a lesser one, whether it's an animal or a person. It just doesn't sit well with me.
I hate monkeys. Especially titi monkeys.
