I've had a crap day, too...maybe it is because it's Friday the 13th? :-)

Sammy's book YES I CAN is a really good one...I highly recommend it.

Ok. So I am sitting on my sofa after having an adult beverage when it occurred to me... Not only was Sammy a cool cat, he is perfect for Friday the 13th as a cool black cat!
Yeah, I cracked myself up with that one.

The returns keep diminishing. Next there was the less-stellar "Brat Pack". Now there is the even less stellar "Frat Pack".

I saw Sammy Davis, Jr., live in concert in 1988. Wow! What a show! He had recently undergone hip-replacement surgery, but he still leaped all over that stage.

At that point in his life, he was but a few weeks or months away from his cancer diagnosis (larynx), and throughout the concert, he kept apologizing for his "bad pipes." Well, his voice sounded great to me, but I think that he could tell that something was wrong.

A tiny man, he had the voice of a giant. Yes, a very cool cat!
