Beware of The BLOG...it creeps, it leaps, it glides & slides all over the place.
Only in Florida stories are probably more common that only in California stories.
I have to say I liked Florida when I visited bit it sure is a weird place.
I really hate that one tree-climbing, marauding rhesus macaque spoils it for all the rest of the peace loving primates.
Monkey bites are dangerous in the extreme! The list is extensive. Now, I love animals. But this monkey has been on the loose for some three years!Shoot the damned monkey. Really. It's the human and the disease-and-danger-prevention thing to do!Rhesus monkeys are not sweethearts. Take my word for it.
I wonder if this monkey has acquired rabies. It's a possibility, you know.So is TB.
Reverse Robinson Crusoe. The only one of his species on a desert island.
Jan: It could be a toss up ;-)Chuck: I like Florida too and it is a weird place. DaBlade: One monkey don't stop no show. The rest of us primates will muddle through somehow.
Always On Watch: Rabies is definitely possible. I've heard that 3/4 of these monkeys carry hepatitis, too.
