Monkey Business

I first wrote about the marauding mystery monkey of Tampa Bay in 2009 when he was just flinging feces at people.

It appears he's getting bolder...

I really hate that one tree-climbing, marauding rhesus macaque spoils it for all the rest of the peace loving primates.

Monkey bites are dangerous in the extreme! The list is extensive.

Now, I love animals. But this monkey has been on the loose for some three years!

Shoot the damned monkey. Really. It's the human and the disease-and-danger-prevention thing to do!

Rhesus monkeys are not sweethearts. Take my word for it.

I wonder if this monkey has acquired rabies. It's a possibility, you know.

So is TB.

Reverse Robinson Crusoe. The only one of his species on a desert island.

Jan: It could be a toss up ;-)

Chuck: I like Florida too and it is a weird place.

DaBlade: One monkey don't stop no show. The rest of us primates will muddle through somehow.

Always On Watch: Rabies is definitely possible. I've heard that 3/4 of these monkeys carry hepatitis, too.
