Face Bra?

Hailed as the latest anti-ageing miracle... would you wear a face bra?

Before you answer, go here to read about the price of ageless beauty.

Yikes, that thing reminds me of the old B movie, "The Brain That Would Not Die."

One of my favorite movies, but the unfortunate character of the diembodied head, played by Virgina Leith, is not one I would like to emulate.

I'll think pass on the face bra.

I grow old. I grow old. I will wear my trousers rolled.

;-)

Baste my face like a turkey?

Yeah, right!

Did you ever see the MST3K of The Brain That Wouldn't Die?

No, I haven't. Sounds like fun.

One of the funniest ones out there.

Loved that show!

I don't like a regular bra, let alone a face one. Sheesh.

I swear there was some sitcom that included somebody trying to sell a face bra contraption. Sort of a mix between Seinfeld's "Bro/Manziere" episode and The Brady Bunch's "Shampoo that turned Greg's hair orange" one.

If 50 pounds was all it took to make everyone look good, the gov't could just hand out notes to everyone over 40.

Truly, what's awful is that some women will buy this. But then, some women blow $1000 on a small jar of cream, so maybe the ones who spend only 50 pounds to wrap a reusable contraption around their head are smarter.

I'm having trouble understanding how anyone could even imagine this would "work". One born every minute.

looks like "prelude to a burkha!"

Hee hee! I showed this to my roommate, and her first thought was, "surely this is something Kramer from Seinfeld made up!"

I wonder if The Phoenix is right....

If you hang upside down for a couple of hours each day your jowlly jaw line will vanish - for a couple of hours each day.

There was another movie like this one, but it involved Nazi scientists controlling bodyless arms, and they took a girl, cut her head off, and placed it in a glass jar. Her friend found her in the dungeon, freaked out, and tried to rescue her friend, but I didn't think it worked out. Cool movie, I wish I could remember the name of it.

steve: The name of the movie you mentioned is The Frozen Dead (1966). Elsa was the disembodied head who developed telepathy (don't they always?) :-)

brooke: Thanks. I'll have to hit the Blockbuster for that one.

woman: maybe it has to do with a combination of gullibility and the neurotic desire to remain young forever.

Ha, I watched the brain that wouldn't die just a few weeks ago!

purple avenger: Good for you. IMO
you can't have enough telepathic disembodied head movies.
