Excellent informative article.

Oh, and the extraterrestial theorists and the earthbound ones will be meeting in different places? That's hilarious. And we should have faith in science?

There was an unsolved mysteries from when I was a kid about this. They postulated all kinds of "was it alien?!" kind of stuff. It, along with the bigfoot 6 million dollar man episode were the foundation of my fascination with pseudoscience.

Why must they always bring in the black helicopter tin-foil hat crowd? Near-earth objects have been thwacking Earth since there's been an Earth to hit! That's the most likely explanation.

I think it was caused by an infentisimally tiny anti-matter particle that simply went through the earth when it wandered in our orbital path.

Clearly you are all, once again, covering up for Bush: you don't really think 9/11 and Katrina could have been pulled off without some practice?

What better way to hide your tracks than to go back in time to a remote place for testing. You can bet the Czar was O.K. with it too the Ba_tard.
