Beware of The BLOG...it creeps, it leaps, it glides & slides all over the place.
I haven't a clue! Way to go girl!
Sounds like something from a geography class. LOL Way to go Katerina!
I couldn't guess! LOL! Go, girls! :)
I thought this would be an easy one. It comes from Cheers and has stuck with me all these years. As far as Katerina goes, can you imagine the looks on the faces of the boys and the men who lost to this girl? I hope they don't decide to get even with her as a result.
I don't know either. I did a Google search and here's a couple of links to The Albania Song:http://kenlevine.blogspot.com/2009/05/albania-song.htmlThis blog post came up in the search of course.DebbieRight Truthhttp://www.righttruth.typepad.com
I actually remember Norm singing this song!I miss Cheers...
Debbie: Thank you for that link. I was good to watch that clip of Coach & Sam singing the Albania song again after so many years. My daughters also watched it and now they know the genesis of the song that pops into their heads when they hear the word Albania. They never watched Cheers, but they heard me sing it over the years and it stuck. The post and the comments were also entertaining. Again, thanks for the link.
Jen: Yeah, it was a good show. I remember Coach & Sam singing, but not Norm. Did he sing it too?
"Albania....its chief export is chrome." That means that Albania has a lot in common with Detroit, circa 1958,
dmarks: I won't go into what Detroit's chief export is now...
For the life of me I couldn't remember the very last line (in the original airing, but not in syndication), "”You’re a Communist Republic. You’re a red regime..."
You are very welcome. I watched Cheers some, not regularly. I never saw that episode or heard the song.DebbieRight Truthhttp://www.righttruth.typepad.com
Debbie: Then your brain was never brainwashed with the Albania song meme. Consider yourself lucky.
Oh, I could be wrong on that. I just pictured Norm singing it.
