Yesterday I read about
Cedar Falls City Council OKs Controversial Lock Box Ordinance where the government demands the keys to your home... for your safety, of course.
Today I read about this:
Coral Gables: Keep Parked Pickup Trucks Out Of Sight Overnight This is government gone wild with abuse of power over our lives.

I don't get it. Is it just pickups? Can the park their Mercedes and Bentleys on the street? Is this just class warfare?
I posted about Cedar Falls today.
But, until now, I hadn't heard about the parking ban on pickups in Coral Gables.
Very interesting stuff!
What's to stop a dishonest fireman from using one of the keys they gave them access to for stealing people's things? And I can't help but wonder which is faster...breaking the door down or finding the right key in a big building?
As for the pick up ban... where I live it's truck territory. They'd have a heck of a fight on their hands. Besides, as nice looking as most trucks are these days, how could anyone consider them an eye sore?
Talk about government overstepping its place!
Jan: I don't get it either. Why are they picking on pickup trucks? We have two Dodge Rams. My oldest daughter got Mr. Cube's when he bought his new one. I'll be up at arms if they even try to pass anti-pickup legislation in my city.
Always On Watch: It's hard to keep up. Assaults on our freedom are happening at a frigtening pace nowadays.
silly rabbit: I agree. The only benefit to a dishonest firefighter would be to steal from your home while he/she is off duty and then putting back the key. Who would know?
As far as trucks go, like I mentioned earlier, we have two Dodge Rams and I'll be damned if some politician decides they're eyesores. I think they're very handsome trucks even though I prefer to drive a Nissan X-Terra.
I live in truck country (Dodge Ram 1500 in my driveway), these 'ol boys out here would never stop laughing if the local government tried to pass this. Actually, we always joked that the township has an ordinance requiring every family to own at least one pickup.
its called tyranny...good Lord...happy Wednesday~!:)
Chuck: I hear you. We have two Dodge Ram 1500s in our driveway. My problem with this idiotic law is that they don't have the right to pick on ANY vehicle in my driveway.
Woman Honor Thyself: It sure sounds like tyranny, doesn't it. Our freedoms are being stripped away daily.
