Hot Hot Hot

My husband goes out of town with our youngest daughter to visit his parents for a few days and what happens?

Our eldest daughter finds a 'mysterious lump' on our Doberman which turned out to be a sebaceous cyst (no problem)

AND the A/C stopped working.

My husband is lucky he's in Cape Cod.

AC's are programmed to all break down at the worst possible times. Glad the Dobie is OK.

Yes, and always at night and during weekends. We had to pay extra overtime pay, but it's done and over with and that's a good thing.

I'm also glad that Maxine's health is good overall, but she's over 100 pounds and needs to go on a diet. Did you know female Dobies got that big?

You have my deep sympathy. Similar circumstances have been happening here, too, and it's very unpleasant to deal with it.

And it is not even a full moon. I am back for a while I hope. Meanwhile what has been going on with all the spam on your blog???

Cube - Glad your dog is ok.

Sorry your a/c broke down.

Cape Cod is a great place to be - lucky for your husband.

messymimi: I just read your post. Gosh, what are the odds that we'd have such similar crazy weekends?

My husband was born in New Hampshire and he's not a fan of hot weather. I call him my polar bear so I'm glad he was spared Friday night's heat.

Hope Dansig is doing better.

Granny Annie: You don't need a full moon for fools to come out. I'm glad you're back, but what in the world do you mean by all the spam on my blog?

Sue Hanes: I'm getting texted and called frequently about how wonderful the weather is up there in Cape Cod. They're golfing and kayaking and it's not raining like it is here in Florida. And the dog's not sick and your A/C didn't break down. I'm so glad somebody is having a good time this weekend. I'm handling it, but rethinking my decision to not go up north with my husband and daughter.

Actually A/C and serious pet problems all occur on the weekend when your HVAC guy isn't operating normally, nor is your vet - so you have to pay weekend rates or take your pet to the emergency 24/7 place that charges 100 times as much. That's our experience anyway. I hope things are or will be better for you Quick!

Kid: Isn't that the way of the world. All havoc ensues on the weekend. It was quite the situation for me, but I handled it. Luckily, my hubby and youngest daughter arrive early Monday morning.
