I read a lot of those articles. Unbelievable! It went on from 2001 until 2005. I don't know how she could possibly feed all those cats and to think she spent $400,000 on a home just for them?
How horrible! The unspeakable conditions those cats endured non-withstanding, I don't know what's worse... The fact that she bought a half-million dollar home to keep them, or that she wasn't willing to put down the cash for a few simple spay/nueters that could have prevented this!
From the link: Petaluma police have arrested a 61-year-old San Francisco woman who kept at least 150 cats in a two-story green house she bought exclusively for the cats to live in.
150 cats? I have four (all spayed) and can barely keep up.
An outstanding photo! Cats love drawers, of course. One of ours jumps into the dresser at every opportunity. She loves to dig through and nestle down, but her favorite follow-up activity is to grab a Q-tip and bat it all over the house. Cotton exacerbates hairballs, however, so we have to curtail her contact with those Q-tips.
brooke: She claims she didn't want the animals to suffer being spayed & neutered. Just another crazy cat lady whose pretzel logic is unfathomable to the rest of us.
nanc: it's pkak time ;-)
always: we have 3 now and it's more than plenty. They love drawers and a couple like shred napkins.
Didn't want them to SUFFER? WHA.... WHA.... WTF?!?
We have a cute little cat, a Great Dane, a small mixed breed (all three rescue animals, the best kind ;) ) and a ferret. I'm trying to talk the hubby into a Sugar Glider... That and our three little humans I think would be enough!

But can a cat take dictation? Have a good week-end!
No, and they're terrible spellers too ;-)
Happy Friday!
Great picture for the cat blog!

Crazy, huh? It must be something in the Petaluma water.

brooke: actually, I think this loony person was just that... loony! There's no logic. There's no understanding it.
