Fine Candywork

You don't have to be a fan of J.R.R. Tolkien's "Lord Of The Rings to appreciate this amazing scale model of the White City of Minas Tirith, site of the Battle Pelennor Fields.

For more details, visit the builders' site at Missedmanners.com

Last year, they recreated The Battle Of Helm's Deep

Fantastic work. I wonder what they do with them when they're done?

awesome!

when our son was a little guy, he and i collected ALL the teeny polly pocket toys - the houses, cars - you name it and we got it - i cleaned out the dining room (10x12) and taped the wide butcher paper to the floor and we drew roads, yards and whole towns and strategically placed all our polly pockets in their places - this reminds me of that time in our lives.

we have one of the large totes filled to the brim with polly's! good, now i'll have something to do in my second childhood.

incidentally, he switched to legos when he outgrew my obsession...

nanc: What a great idea. That Polly Pocket stuff will come in handy with the grandkids too.

My kids loved it when I would make up funny skits using their toys (and yes, sometimes my Star Trek action figures). They would laugh and laugh in that wonderful way
only a genuinely happy kid can emit.

angel: Thank you. I still marveling at the intricacy of the work.

brooke: It's almost to pretty to eat... almost ;-)

they're for MY second childhood!

nanc: Yes. You won't be able to deny the grandbabies anymore than you can deny your love of clawed.

Aw, we used to have a ton of Pollys here, too. Sage loved them, and she would never call Polly by her name. She always called her "The Tiny Human." Yep, geeks from the start!

That's a really neat creation! I never do anything interesting with my candy, I just eat it...

jen: I just don't crave candy like I used to. When I finally get around to wanting a piece, my daughters have eaten it all. Happens all the time. I'd bet they could make short work of this model.
