Cat Blog Friday

For this Cat Blog Friday I was torn between a borg cat...

... and a delightful video of kittens play-fighting that my daughter thought was a hoot. The funny part is how the third kitten breaks up the feline scuffle.

And I thought, why not do both?

Happy Friday, everybody!

What? That's how I break up the cat fights in my house - I start hurking, and everyone stops what they're doing and looks at me...

cary: There you go. Either hurling or hacking up a hairball. It works everytime ;-)

nanc: Love it. I must say you are becoming quite the cat lover :-)

Ick. What is it about cats that make them barf at the drop of a hat?

Those two future killers are adorable. :)

angel: We have a 70% chance of rain here too, but who cares, it's Friday!

brooke: I thought it particularly funny how the kitten barfs on the floor, cleverly avoiding the newspaper... Just like my critters do.

It's a talent that is genetially passed down...they don't want to get the paper wet...
We have 50% chance of thunderstorms, the tornado watch is supposed to end at 7 pm. The dang thing hasn't arrived yet!
As for borg kitty, "Your base are ours."

Speaking of kitty barf, ours just ate a needle off my sewing project and barfed up a bunch of foamy blood. I only laid it down for a split second. :(

Hubby just took him to the emergency vet. Wish us luck.

Jack Cat is back. The needle lodged in his throat sideways, facing front to back. The vet was able to sedate him and pull the needle out of his esophagus through the front of his neck.

He's under the bed, and I expect he will be for the rest of the day.

He is now officially one very expensive and lucky cat.

Eight more lives to go. ;)

It's hairball season here in this house, and I've FOUR cats puking all over the place. Today, I went through half a roll of paper towels.

Brooke,
You just found out how one can never, ever leave a sewing needle untended. Glad that Jack Cat is okay!
PS: Watch out for chicken bones too!

brooke: I'm so glad to hear about Jack's recovery.

It's amazing what those critters will get in to. Honestly, I would never have thought that a cat would swallow a needle.
