Dmarks from
The Throwaway Blog did a post about 15 Roadside Destinations and asked which, if any, had been left off the list.
Here's one that I like from Gaffney, South Carolina...
Peachoid Water Tower Standing 150 feet tall, this is one water tower you will never forget.

Don't let the SC governor see it. It might cause him to stray again.
Hum, I used to live in SC- Saw nothing like that, anywhere.
Ha! It does look like a big peach butt! heehee
How rude! That water tower is totally mooning us! :-)
dmarks: It's not an Argentinian peach ;-)
Jill: We saw this thing in Gaffney, S.C. My youngest daughter's eyes popped out of her head when she saw it. I have pictures of it. It's real.
Ananda Girl: It totally looked like a huge butt as we approached it. Luckily, we didn't get involved in an accident while we gawked and took pictures.
laura b: It is definitely a defiantly exhibitionist peach. I think the town officials who commissioned it had a cheeky sense of humor ;-)
Makes the town the butt of jokes, huh? Sorry.
cube - That's a good one. My
favorite water tower is one that we pass on our way to Indiana:
It has a nice smiley face.
(If you click on my name you will
find my two new blogs.)
It's a beauty-- and about 45 minutes west of me. Most people don't know that we grow more peaches here in SC than they do in Georgia.
