Summertime

Spring has sprung.
Winter has fell.
Summer is here,
And it's hot as...

Hello, what is summer without grilling and what is grilling without hot dogs?

Best Hot Dog Taste Test

My favorite made it all the way to #4:

NATHAN'S BIGGER THAN THE BUN SKINLESS BEEF FRANKS

Yum.

We don't have those here or I might agree. We do have Hebrew National though and they are my favorite! Yum!

I prefer Nathan's because I grew up in New York eating them at Coney Island, but I'm not a hot dog snob. I'll eat them all.

I do want to try the ones that made #1 and were light to boot.

I'm surprised that the ones from New Hampshire Provision (with skins) didn't even make the test. They pop when you bite them and are delicious. This wasn't a definite test, if you ask me. The sample was too small.

Nathan's HD's are, hands down, the greatest HD ever created by man or god. And don't forget those fries! served with the little red pitchfork? Mustard was invented for Nathan's.

We only eat Koegel's, it's a brand made only in Flint, MI and sold primarily throughout Michigan. They are like a German wiener. I grew up on them. They have great bologna and pickled bologna too.

We are actually eating them tonight with chili on them ;)

somehow I don't think the hotdogs over here are the same as yours.

ours are thin, red skinned and pretty much tasteless, sat in water till hot, plonked on a bun,not always buttered and some tomato sauce ,thats a hot dog!!

Ooh, Nathan's are good. Here in Ohio in the West Chester area we actually have a Nathan's mini-restaurant. :)

We had some Hebrew National dogs this week and they were good but they didn't even approach the flavor of Nathan's.

IWASNTBLOGGEDYESTERDAY: I don't think they're the same thing either. Our hotdogs are a thing of culinary beauty. They're awesome in flavor. I wish I could send you one...
