Cat Blog Friday

For this Cat Blog Friday...

... a cat in a box. Why a box, you ask? Well, we are in the process of sending care packages to the troops and it seemed apt.

If you want to send supplies and goodies to the troops too, you can get info about the Military Care Kit, or "Mili-kit" from the U.S. Postal Service. The Mili-Kit is free and may be ordered by calling the USPS Expedited Package Supply Center at 1-800-610-8734.

The kit includes boxes, shipping labels, tape, etc., and the Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes included in the kit can be shipped to any APO/FPO in the world, regardless of weight, for $8.10.

Wow, such a deal! And what a great way to show your support to those who stand watch for us.

Happy Friday everybody.

I've read that when a cat yawns, he/she is relaxed and trusting of the surroundings.

God bless our troops. And God bless you for caring enough to send care packages.

aow2: Thank you for your kind words. We feel badly that it's all we can do for them when they do so much for us.

nanc: I'm not sending them a cat. This cat's for you!!!

Thanks for letting us know, Cube! What a deal!

Of course, you'd have to send 'em stuff that doesn't melt!

No way, that's so cool! I'm going to do that, too :)

Sorry, slow moment! Is there a way to find out who to send them to?

nanc: Good. Get the word out.

brooke: You'd be surprised how much you can send.

jen: I'm glad you asked. If you don't know a soldier, you can go to AnySoldier.com and they will provide you with an "APO" where you can send it to any soldier.

Thanks so much for sending care packages to our troops!!!!
I am part of the Soldiers' Angels Letter Team, and I enjoy sending cards of thanks and appreciation to our men and women who serve on our behalf.
They deserve to know we appreciate all they have sacrificed. I feel we need to let them know that there are many here in the US who support them. The MSM and liberals send them an entirely different message which makes me MAD!!
Hooray to YOU for supporting the troops!!!!

Have a wonderful holiday weekend. :-)

You are so awesome, Cube! Thanks :-)

What a wonderful idea!

I hope you and your family will have a lovely holiday weekend. Best wishes to you.

j.d.: You are so right. This is a small thing we do compared to the huge sacrifices they make for us every day.

It makes my blood boil when senators like Barack & Hillary vote against funding the troops when they are in harm's way.

jen: Aw,shucks. Thank you.**cheeks flushing**

We're just tired of feeling like we're not pulling a tiny bit of the load.

marti: Good to hear from you again. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you & yours have a great weekend too.

Cube, awesome!!! I know how much those guys appreciate a little love from home.

Jamie Dawn, I'm a SA LWT member too, and an ePal!

And I definitely endorse both www.anysoldier.com and www.soldiersangels.org ... I wish everyone would get involved, even if it's only to send something every once in a while.

Happy Memorial Day, and have a great weekend everybody!

jen: We found our soldier via our eldest's school. Her teacher's brother is "our" soldier. It occurred to me that you can make a homeschool project out of this too. Just a thought.

jenny: All are great organizations. Do what you can and then a little more :-)

Hope your weekend was a good one too.
