Comical Outrage
There has been much outrage over the Obamas on the cover of The New Yorker magazine lately. Do you remember the same outrage over the above magazine cover portraying Clarence Thomas as the right's lawn jockey?
...or when Condi Rice was portrayed as Bush's big-lipped parrot?
... or as the know-nuthin' black character portrayed by Butterfly McQueen in "Gone With The Wind"
Of course not. The left only finds outrage when one of their own is satirized.
Alicia Colon has a great piece on the subject... Cartoon Outrage Or Hypocrisy
I say the left should stop whining and find a sense of humor.

Unfortunately, I do believe that a requirement for belonging to the left is that you have your sense of humor surgically removed, and replaced with the whining gene from a petulant five year old.
Cary is totally right. I've never met a lefty who has a sense of humor about anything that wasn't ridicule of the right.
cary: ouch! That sounds painful.
jan: Sad, but true.
