Daddy the Pitbull 1994 - 2010

The Dog Whisperer's Favorite Pitbull, Daddy, Dies

Daddy, who died on Friday at the age of 16, did much to rehabilitate the unfair image pitbulls have of being vicious dogs.

RIP Daddy.

Oh man, I wish I could trust those dogs. I guess it's the owners we need to trust. Daddy's story is sad and we know he will be greatly missed.

I do believe that the onus does belong with the dog owners. Pitbulls have been given a bad rap. I didn't watch this show, but hope Daddy is resting peacefully in doggy heaven now.

Granny Annie: I shared your apprehension about pits until my sister and brother-in-law rescued a female pitbull. We have dogsat her many times and know that she is good-natured and very smart.

I think Daddy had a good long life. I would've given much to have my beloved Dax for that long.

Teresa: You are right about the onus being on the owners. I didn't know that until my pitbull dog-niece came into our lives and we got first hand experience with pitbulls.

It's not a bad dog, it's a bad owner.

As far as Daddy goes, I think he lived a great life. He'll be waiting for the Milan family at the Rainbow Bridge.

Aw, I knew Daddy was an old boy, but still it's sad.

I sure do love my pittie.
