Skip The BO Summit

Today Obama unveiled a nearly $1 trillion, 10-year health care plan...

Boehner: President’s Health Care Proposal Jeopardizes Summit, Doubles Down on Failed Approach Americans Have Already Rejected

So why are Republicans going to attend a summit to discuss health care on Thursday?

I'd be running away from this toxic tax nightmare bill as fast as my legs would carry me.

YES!!! Be the party of HELL NO and let the Dems take total responsibility for this monstrosity, since they could pass it anyway if there was enough party loyalty.

Exactly. If they can rahm this through without republicans, why do they need our sheepish approval? Why should we even attend this idiotic summit.

We're not the party of "NO!" we're the party of "No To Your Socialist Crap, Obama!"

No one should take the President seriously on the whole debt-reducation thing until he scraps his proposed 2010 budget and replaces it with one that a deficit of zero or less.

I am so glad that the GOP has been the party of NO. I want them to continue saying NO. Hell NO to this crappy bill and all of Obama's socialist policies.

I love Newt's idea for the GOP to walk out of the summit if Obama totally co-ops the summit and it becomes a Democrat love fest.

I am torn on this whole "go - don't go argument". My personal beliefs are they should tell him to go to Hell and stay away. I think though that this would be a mistake politically. They really should make a lot of hay before the summit, get on TV, demand he withdraw the reconciliation threat for starters.

It's a total set up, isn't it.
Obama sets the stage last week with how the Republicans won't play with him on this bill (as if they didn't try? but the media won't tell Americans how much they DID try) and then, if they don't attend, it's "See? I told you they won't....we just have to pass my bill so we get SOMEWHERE because Republicans just don't care..or have no good ideas."
Of course, HEALTH CARE HELL is that somewhere, but... he doesn't care.

I think they need to go, simply to show that they are not saying NO simply because he's a dem and they're rep.

Healthcare is broken right now. Too many people cannot get insurance because of the stupid way things are. Healthcare should not be tied to employment. Torte reform is so beyond needed. But if the repubs get tarred with "they're saying no just to say no, they won't budge on anything" then these valid arguments will, once again, get lost in the rhetoric.

Just MO.

The GOP is really asking for it by attending this. We finally have Obama and the Dems by the short hairs and we're loosening our grip. This is not how you win electiosn.
