Smack Down

Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government has invited ex-Iranian President (er, might I also add... dictator, despot, tyrant, terrorist) Khatami to speak on Sunday, the eve of September 11th. Khatami will give a lecture titled "Ethics of Tolerance in the Age of Violence."

Yeah, right.

According to the Boston Globe here Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney has declared that he would not allow any state resources to be used to protect Khatami.

I hope that hand over Khatami's head is setting up to bash in his ugly head.

Then, smack down the dolt at Harvard who had this bright idea.

Sheesh.

Let's hope it's a trick and there's a sniper in the back row. Gawd that sounds awful. I'm cranky today LOL

That sounds like a plan, but I wouldn't count on it coming from the pointy-headed liberals at Harvard.

This really doesn't surprise me, coming from the college sect. I am SO GLAD I'm not writing a tuition check to that hellhole! I've said it before and I'll say it again: College is not what it used to be and I'm proud to be self-educated.

I always thought of Hravard as the elite school where bright students and teachers are gathered. My whole belief system was just shaddered!

I'm not at all surprised considering it's the KENNEDY school of Govt! Maybe we can get Teddy to take Khatami for a nice long drive....

Harvard has lost most of the prestige it used to have. I wouldn't drop a dime for tuition there.

windypoo: hey, I like your plan ;-)

Shockingly, Khatami is giving a series of lectures, but is not going to take a single question from the press or the audience.

This should never have been allowed. At the very least, Harvard should've insisted that he take questions, especially from Iranians who were persecuted & tortured under his regime.

This is what you get from liberal institutions.

Why is it shocking cube? He's probably afraid someone is going to ask him about his support for the Ahmadenijad and the destruction of Israel.

I think that hand should be making a peace sign behind this dufus.

elmer: what I find shocking is that the Harvard "intellectuals" would allow this one-sided forum for this creep. At the very least they could've demanded that there be Q&A sessions in the interest of toleration, free speech, understanding, yada yada.

By not insisting on it, they show a shocking disregard for the very values they espouse at every opportunity.

They have laid bare their appeasement mentality for the world to see, and thus have
shown themselves to be bigger idiots than I thought they were.

And remember, he was the moderate, reforming one of the crowd there. I wonder what you'd have that hand do the current, more reactionry president!

When it comes to the Middle East the term moderate is very relative.
