W On GWOT

Just in case you missed it yesterday, go here for a transcript of President Bush's speech on terrorism.

The President lays it out clearly for all to hear... especially the cut and run Democrats.

It's a scary thought...imagining a Dem in charge. We'd have another 9/11

woman: they are reeling right now, desperately trying to get their liberal talking points together. I can only hope Americans are listening to what the President is telling them.

phoenix: absolutely. 9/11 or worse, because Dem policies would weaken the USA beyond belief.

their policies are what weakened u.s. in the first place.

cube - drudge - must see redlines at the top re clinton having a fit over the new abc miniseries of events leading up to 911 - the ten years before! ha! guess he's upset because a normally liberal television station has gone soft on him - he's demanding they not run it. the noive!

nanc: I saw it. Bubba went ballistic. He has no shortage of nerve.

Imagine the uproar if President Bush had demanded that Moore change his movies?

I don't trust any of the networks. I wouldn't put it past them to raise this ruckus for publicity and to then capitulate to the Clintonites at the last minute.

Now if he could just do the same thing for the border!

I looooove it when GWB looks those Dems in the eyes and lets 'em have it, both barrels!

GWB has got to do more of what he's been doing the last few days.

I think President Bush should fight back harder. Hit 'em back. Hit 'em hard. Mention Joe Wilson's recent denouement, for example.

One can have too much grace.

I hope the prez gets his message OUT to all Americans, not just those of us to keep a close eye on politics.
My major beef with Dubya is that he doesn't talk to the American people enough. I like it when he gives heartfelt primetime speeches and gets to the heart of various matters. I think that people like that and respond to that positively.
He's at his best when he tells it like it is, and leaves all the fluffy mumbo jumbo behind. He walks the tightrope too carefully sometimes, and I want him to say what needs to be said and do what needs to be done.
Some may think he has too many rough edges with his not-so-perfect speech and his cowboy style, but I think he has more class than Bill Clinton ever had and then some.
It boils down to integrity, and Bush has that!
Get out there Mr. President, and get your message out there.

j.d.: I agree completely. Bush isn't as well-spoken as President Reagan was, but he has the integrity and backbone to stand up & say what needs saying, pretty or not.
