At Pre-Inaugural Church Service Bishop Jakes Mixes Up 'Star Wars' And 'Star Trek' Bishop Jakes told Obama,
""I say to you as my son who is here today, my 14-year-old son – he probably would not quote Scripture. He probably would use Star Trek instead, and so I say, 'May the force be with you.' "It's a good idea to stick with what you know...

That's funny
Give Bishop Jakes some credit. He's a fan, you know. He loves the part in "The Lord of the Rings" where King Arthur pulls the Ring from the stone and goes on to slay the Wicked Witch of the West.
Don't let a meaningless platitude get lost in a mixed metaphor.
He just isn't familiar with Dr Spook
jakes is a knucklehead extraordinaire.
Sheesh. KEEP YOUR GEEK STRAIGHT, man!
Nanno, nanno!
:-)
As Spock once said, "The good of The One outweighs the good of the many."
Bishop Jakes clearly needs a tutorial. Any takers?
Sue: That's one word for it.
dmarks: heh heh.
anonymous: yeah
chuck: heh heh.
nanc: He's way out of his league.
brooke: There you go. Don't go trying to connect with your inner geek when you don't really have one.
j.d.: heh heh
DaBlade: Wise words, indeed. Even wiser in light of THE ONE.
Pasadena C.C.: I'd like to give the Bishop a few words of tutelage, but would he listen?
okey-dokey
Obviously he is not a fan of my blog...
Sue: My thought is that this guy is clueless about geekicity so he shouldn't be employing it because he risks looking like a fool.
Much like I feel about this old Pelosi post in which she is quoting Bible scripture that scholars can't find.
EDGE: Or mine.
Meh. Cool pic of Spock!!!!!! That's a cool wallpaper if anything, yo!
Steve Harkonnen: Indeed.
