For this Cat Blog Friday...

Trek Comics

Just in time for Christmas, a great gift idea for the Trekkie in your life...

TrekInk Review: Star Trek: The Complete Comic Book Collection DVD ROM

This collection is only missing the two issues done by Marvel that crossed the Star Trek crews with the X-Men of comic book fame.

Also missing is the smell of musty old paper and the tactile experience of turning the pages...

Oh well, it's still an awesome gift for collectors.

Tacky Headline

From the New York Times comes this article about President Bush hosting the Obamas at the White House:

A Visit Both Historic And Perhaps Awkward

Thing is, the title of the article was changed, yes changed from this:

"Obama Will Visit Bush, Watching Out for Tacks on Chairs in Oval Office"

I kid you not.

Feisty First Dog

First dog, Barney, bites Reuters political reporter Jon Decker's hand...

Getting even for the MSM's shoddy treatment of his master, perhaps?

For this Cat Blog Friday...

OK, I feel better now.

The Red And The Blue

Found this photo via:

Vermin Inc's Flickr Photostream

and I think it is illustrative of the election... too little red falling into a sea of blue.

I'm taking a philosophical stance on the matter. It is what it is and there's no changing it. I survived one Carter and two Clinton administrations. I will survive this one too.

One thing to keep in mind, Barack Hussein Obama, is that Americans are going to be watching your actions closely, so don't screw up.

After all, you wouldn't want those of us on the red side of the political spectrum to show you the same level of respect that those on the blue side showed to President Bush.

I'm just sayin...

Michael Crichton 1942-2008

'Jurassic Park' Author Michael Crichton Dies At 66

My favorite Crichton novel will always be "The Andromeda Strain", and, although I did enjoy many other novels of his, I am saddened to hear that there will be no future ones.

We have not only lost a wonderful novelist, but we have also lost an opponent in the craptastic man-made global warming lib-fest. He was a trained scientist who articulated his very un-politically-correct position and I will miss that very much.

RIP, Mr. Crichton.

Barry Bankrupt

From Newsbusters comes an interview that Obama gave on January 17, 2008...

Hidden Audio: Obama Tells SF Chronicle He Will Bankrupt Coal Industry

If Obama is elected, I will not only blame the lazy malcontents who want free stuff from the government, but also the MSM because they did their utter best to hide the truth about BHO from the American public.

I hope and pray that there are more sane people than not.

Master Manipulator

This was talked about by Rush Limbaugh yesterday...

Confessions Of An Obama Blogger By Sarah P.

Today I found this via Lucianne.com...

What You Were Never Intended To Know About This Election: A Hillary Staffer Comes Clean

Basically, both divulge Obama's strategy of manipulating media, polls, and anything else he can to make sure the opposition becomes dispirited, disorganized, and demobilized.

Don't let Obama's massive propaganda machine bamboozle you into staying home on Tuesday!

Get out and vote for McCain/Palin.

Obamunism

Barack Obama: Red Diaper Baby

Obama's socialist sympathies didn't begin with Saul Alinsky...

According to Andrew Walken of the American Thinker:

"Barack Obama is a "red diaper baby" who has spent his formative years -- literally from the moment of his birth -- interacting with members and sympathizers of the Communist Party, USA."

Five days before the election and we're just learning this now?

Sheesh.

God Save America... From Obama

Is the black vote monolithically for Obama?

Not if the Hon. James David Manning, PhD has anything to say about it.

God Save America

This video is 22 minutes long, but it goes by quickly especially if you think, as I do, that Obama is dangerous for our country.

[The BLOG note: This video came to my attention via my father-in-law.]

Aloha Obama

Obama Hawaii Trips Cost More Than Palin's Campaign Clothes

Looking for a photo to illustrate a post about how Obama's two trips to Hawaii have cost his campaign ~$400,000 each, I found some interesting information about the Hawaii vacation in August.

Huffington Post Edits Barack Obama Hawaii Vacation Pic Photo Of Barry Checking Out Bikini Clad Woman

Sorry, but the original photos showing the bikini clas women are no longer available on Yahoo.

And that led me to this...

Obama Is Hit By 'Affair' Smears Following Claims That Attractive Aide Was Banned By His Wife

This brief Google search on my part revealed lots of information Obama would rather I not see. It makes me wonder how much more information the press isn't reporting.

Your guess is as good as mine, but it is certain that we are deliberately being kept from hearing or seeing the truth about Obama.

Among the people who signed the petition are No. 5, Columbia University professor of Arab studies Rashid Khalidi, and No. 814, former University of Colorado at Boulder professor Ward Churchill.

Bias Ender

From writer Orson Scott card comes an open letter lamenting the sorry state of journalism and Democrats...

Would The Last Honest Reporter Please Turn On The Lights?

I know Orson Scott Card from reading some of his excellent scifi books, and now he's shown himself to be one of the few honest Democrats left.

Blog After Death

What Happens To Your Online Stuff When You Die

I hadn't really given this subject much thought before...

What Review?

Zombie did the investigative work that the MSM journalists have refused to do...

Barack Obama's Review Of William Ayers' Book

I thought I heard one of Obama's spokesmen come out and deny that this review even happened.

Like Zeno, one of the commenters to Zombie's post said, "Obama Lied. And Media Objectivity Died."

That has a nice ring to it.

Green Smoke Screen

A government report that found old-fashioned reusable (cloth) diapers damage the environment more than disposables has been hushed up because UK ministers are embarrassed by its findings.

Blow To Image Of ‘Green’ Reusable Diaper

So much for the loony greenies caring about our environment, eh?

Burger King

When I first heard about a man eating a belly-busting 15 lb. hamburger, I thought the man was Guy Ritchie, Madonna's soon-to-be-ex-husband. I mean, having a vegan diet forced upon you for 8 years can do strange things to someone with a normal appetite for meat.

Turns out it was another guy...

Pa. Man Chews Through Belly-busting, 15-lb. Burger

If that isn't meaty enough, there is (or was) a world record holding burger that weighed in at a whopping 100 lbs.

Real King Burger

Hungry, yet?

Perfidious Powell

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell, shown here getting jiggy with Nigerian hip-hop group Olu Maintain at the Africa Rising festival, has just announced his endorsement for president...

Colin Powell Endorses Barack Obama For President

Like Gomer Pyle used to say, "Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!"

Let the pussyfooting around this issue begin.

Troubling Timeline

The bloggers at Verum Serum are doing the investigative journalism the MSM has decided to reserve for errant republicans only.

They have compiled a very interesting timeline that Obama won't want you to see...

Commie Collar

Putin's Dog Gets A Satellite Collar

When I heard this on the news, I thought the dog's name was Commie. Turns out it was Koni...

My bad.

I still feel sorry for this dog.
