It's almost Halloween and I feel the need to post some pumpkin-related matter...

Yeah...I think that sort of jack-o-lantern is too intense for my tastes. Does it still hold a candle inside? Lol.

chuck: Me either. I can't come close to the awesome carving talent it took to create this object d'art.

salubrina: *BOK* *BOK* Don't be chicken. It's just a vegetable ;-)

wordsmith: Like I said to salubrina, it's just a vegetable.
I think it's the most intricately carved pumpkin I've ever seen. It's just an awesome display of carving talent.

It's just a vegetable, right. So, if it attacks you, your flesh will suffer the worst that mushy pumpkin-fangs can deliver. Which is not much.

Looking at that makes me realize the only thing missing from my pathetic jack-o-lantern carving is to have my tongue out as I hack away with my drywall / keyhole saw!

I thought I was just bad. Now I have enhanced perspective as to how bad!

That is amazing sculpture: too bad if it just goes to the flies.

dmarks: Yeah, it's not like its a killer tomato ;-) Pumpkins are weak.

anonymous: Don't feel bad. I, too, am humbled by the talent of this pumpkin sculpter.

I don't like to throw the word awesome around unless something truly is awesome. This pumpkin is!!!

I take heart that nothing I face this Halloween will be as scary as what we face in November.

By the way, it might be interesting to see some of the commenters here comment on this post "Obama gives us hope", over on another blog. And this one for that matter.

I am just a person who is not so fixated on national leaders to think that "hope" is something that they give. I look to deities to give hope, not some guy.
