Forrest J. Ackerman 1914-2008



I was very saddened to hear of the death of Forrest J. Ackerman this week.

In tribute, I'm going to re-read his Ackermanthology!

RIP, Mr. Ackerman.

Oh wow. I've been reading some of his old monster magazines lately too!

I sure wish Forrey got around to writing down his autobiography. The man was a virtual walking encyclopedia of science fiction.

I wonder if his vast collection will be auctioned off or donated?

anonymous: Thank you for sharing that. It's so typical of Forrey to be 92 years old and have a MySpace page. He was always on the forefront of everything. What a cool old dude.

Hey, Cube, a friend I had lunch with Sunday mentioned this guy's passing and how he had been to his 'museum/ house'...said he was a fantastically nice guy.

Z: Forrey used to give tours to the Ackermansion all the time. He was always willing to please the fans.
