More Moore

Michael Moore, shown here being moved from his million dollar Manhattan apartment to his million dollar beachfront home in Michigan, is at it again...

Michael Moore: Hurricane Coming During GOP Convention 'Proof There Is a God in Heaven'

Moore admits he's delighted to see a natural disaster potentially interfere with the Republican event.

Can you imagine the outrage if a Republican said something like that about the dems?

GOP VP

McCain Chooses Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin For V.P.

This is one gutsy move by McCain. It will either be a brilliant stroke of political genius, or it will be a death knell to the republican party's chances come November.

What do you think?

Joe Biden showing how many times he has plagiarized someone else's work?

Maybe in Base Ten.

The Write Stuff: Why Biden's Plagiarism Shouldn't Be Forgotten.

I think Biden's cheating belies a lack of character. Like Obama, he will say anything for you. (Thanks for the coinage, QQ.]

Not Hillary

I'm Michelle Obama and I approved this pick.

Radical M.O.

From the National Review comes news about Michelle Obama's past...

Michelle, Anti-American Radicals, And U of C

The final paragraph says it best...

"It seems to me that if the mainstream papers like the Post are going to look into Michelle Obama’s work bringing medical care to poor South Side residents, her earlier position and its link to politically radical–even intensely anti-American–community organizers deserves scrutiny as well."

I find the links to the Gamaliel Foundation very interesting.

F.O.O.

Friends Of Obama... on ongoing post.

Doesn't have the same ring as F.O.B. (Friends of Bill), but the friends may be more undesirable, especially in the case of radical Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers...

Stomping on the American flag in 2001: Bill Ayers: No Regrets

Better yet, watch the video... How Much Do You Know About Obama

This is the same Bill Ayers that founded the Annenberg Challenge on Excellence in Education, the foundation run by none other than Barack H. Obama. The same foundation whose records are being blocked from the public by the University of Illinois Chicago.

Hmmm...

CERN, CERN, CERN

According to Cosmic Log, preparations for starting up the world's largest atom-smasher on Sept. 10 are proceeding despite the legal battle to stop it.

TWISTS IN THE DOOMSDAY DEBATE

Basically, the hearing scheduled for Sept. 2, will consider whether to dismiss a civil lawsuit claiming that the machine could destroy the world by creating globe-gobbling black holes or other catastrophes of cosmic proportions.

CERN and the U.S. Department of Energy, say the doomsday worries are pure science fiction - and have cited a series of safety reports concluding that the Large Hadron Collider poses no global threat.

I'm not worried about it, are you?

Operation Drill Bit

Not that he needs the extra publicity from my little blog, but I heard about this on The Schnitt Show ...

"NEW INITIATIVE: "Drill Nancy" - During the Congressional summer recess, direct all drill bits to Speaker Nancy Pelosi, so her office will be flooded with drill bits when she returns to Capitol Hill.

[Please use padded envelopes, not normal envelopes, we don't want to damage postal equipment]

Mail all Drill Bits to:

The Honorable Nancy Pelosi
H-232, U.S. Capitol
Washington, D.C. 20515
202-225-0100

Too lazy, order a drill bit sent in your name - www.drillnancy.com

I love the photo...

Purple Pigeon

Pigeon Found At NYC Playground Was Painted Purple

Don't blame the artist formerly known as Prince and currently known again as Prince and his "Purple Rain". Some idiot painted this poor pigeon purple...

I didn't mind when the folks at Pigeon Cam computer-generated a fez on a pigeon named Shirley, but I draw the line at painting them!

What kind of sicko would do that?

Air Ray

Meet the Festo Air_ray ...

"a remote-controlled hybrid construction consisting of a helium-filled ballonet and a beating wing drive. Its light design makes it possible for it to “swim” in the sea of air, boosted by helium, in a similar way to the manta ray in water."

Cool. It almost looks alive.

High-Aptitude Minds: The Neurological Roots of Genius

An excerpt: "Within hours of his demise in 1955, Albert Einstein’s brain was salvaged, sliced into 240 pieces and stored in jars for safekeeping. Since then, researchers have weighed, measured and otherwise inspected these biological specimens of genius in hopes of uncovering clues to Einstein’s spectacular intellect."

It's a fascinating, but long article, so I'll give you the summary: Basically, after all this time, we still don't know what the neurological roots of genius are, but being brilliant doesn't ensure success or accomplishment. Self-discipline and working hard are much more important that a high IQ.

The moral is... study hard, kiddies, and you will achieve.

GOP'ers Protest Over Energy - Best Show In Town

"This is Day Two of the GOP revolt over energy, and the debate is taking place in a darkened House floor with no microphones, no lights and no C-SPAN cameras (on orders of the Democratic speaker)"

... And no Democrats!

I don't know about you, but I'd love it if C-SPAN defied the Queen's orders and turned on the cameras. Where does she get off?
