Politicized Logo?

Above is the newly-unveiled logo for the U.S. Department of Defense's Missile Defense Agency that some are saying is reminiscent of both the Obama campaign logo and an Islamic flag.

Here is the BO logo:

Here is the Islamic flag logo:

You do the math...

US Missile Defense Agency Changes Logo To Obama~Islamic Crescent Hybrid!

I think this is too close for comfort, but I'm not surprised.

What do you think?

Skip The BO Summit

Today Obama unveiled a nearly $1 trillion, 10-year health care plan...

Boehner: President’s Health Care Proposal Jeopardizes Summit, Doubles Down on Failed Approach Americans Have Already Rejected

So why are Republicans going to attend a summit to discuss health care on Thursday?

I'd be running away from this toxic tax nightmare bill as fast as my legs would carry me.

Daddy the Pitbull 1994 - 2010

The Dog Whisperer's Favorite Pitbull, Daddy, Dies

Daddy, who died on Friday at the age of 16, did much to rehabilitate the unfair image pitbulls have of being vicious dogs.

RIP Daddy.

Could It Be True?

Could it be true that William Shatner has been chosen to play Justin Halpern's dad in the TV version of his popular Twitter account of Sh*t My Dad Says?

William Shatner To Star In “Sh*t My Dad Says” TV Pilot

Hey, I'm just happy the didn't pick Senator John McCain ;-)

Not Again!

When I saw this photo on Drudge, I thought, "Oh no, Tiger's fallen off the wagon."

Then I read the article and it turns out this was his mother...

Tiger Says Sorry To The Universe

Seriously, I don't think Woods should be seen kissing anyone, or anything, not even a dog or cat for a long time.

Cat Blog Friday

For this Cat Blog Friday...

... a cat with an honest reaction to Tiger Woods' mea culpa speech... *YAWN*

I didn't watch, but I'm tired of the endless clips when there is more important news out there.

Sheesh.

Happy Friday anyway, everybody!

True Obama

This interesting article from the American Thinker starts with this thesis statement from author, Robert Huff:

"I have recently come to the conclusion that leftists reveal their innermost thoughts when attacking those with whom they disagree."

How The Left Reveals Itself

Huff goes on to allude to Obama's recent meeting with Republicans, he chastised critics who believe his policies are part of some "Bolshevik plot."

He then wonders, "Why all these czars? Bolshevik plot. Why take over General Motors? Bolshevik plot. Why attack the banks? Bolshevik plot. Why force nationalized health care down our throats? Bolshevik plot. Why attempt to turn the National Endowment for the Arts into a propaganda ministry? Bolshevik plot. And so on and so on. Thank you, Mr. President. The previously nonexistent argument you responded to now exists, and it is a powerful one."

Previously nonexistent argument? I disagree with Huff here. I've been calling Obama a commie since the campaign when it was just talk. I think he's been proving it with his policies since he took office.

It was still a worthwhile read.

Cat Stew

The above faux cat loaf is the only cat dish I'd be willing to eat...

Celebrity Chef Beppe Bigazzi Upsets Viewers With His Cat Casserole

I would have to be very hungry to go after a piece of meat that required having to soak it in spring water for three days for it to be edible.

The Very First Blog

"Justin Halls started a web-based diary called Justin’s Links from the Underground in 1994. It offered an early guided tour of the Web, but became increasingly personal over time. New York Times Magazine has referred to him as the founding father of personal blogging. Of course, the term “blog” itself wouldn’t be introduced until years later (“weblog” in 1997, which led to “blog” in 1999)."

This one is very amusing...

I wonder how those celebutards feel about their every move was captured on tape for the viewing pleasure of their beloved dictator?

Heh heh.

It's The Obama, Stupid

Much is being made of Financial Times's Edward Luce's article that lays the blame for Obama's floundering first year in office on his advisory staff, namely David Axelrod, Valerie Jarrett, Robert Gibbs, and Rahm Emanuel, who are geared towards campaigning but not governing.

The Four Horsemen Of The Obamacalypse

One commenter on Lucianne.com cheekily re-titled them as the Four Corpsemen Of The Obamacalypse.

Heh heh.

Like the humor, but I differ with Luce's premise. I think the blame lies with Obama. If he can't tell the difference between bad and good advice, then ultimately, it's his fault when policies fail.

I guess the buck stops everywhere but BO's desk.

Red Eye Tops CNN

Red Eye Celebrates Third Year By Topping CNN Prime Time Last Week

The 3amET show is seeing big ratings in the A25-54 demographic – even topping CNN prime time last week- including Campbell Brown at 8pmET and Larry King at 9pmET, and tied Anderson Cooper at 10pmET (Monday-Thursday).

Sweet.

When will the MSM get it?

Super Pick

OK, I'm picking the Colts to win the Super Bowl...

UNLESS...

wait for it...

UNLESS...

the same group of referees who called the Vikings vs. Saints game are going to referee this match, well then I'm picking the Saints as the winner.

In case you didn't watch the Vikings vs. Saints game, the NFL came out and admitted that 5, count 'em 5, calls made by the refs were wrongly called against the Vikings.

What? What? What?

I'm hoping that the Colts overcome the crappy calls and stomp the Saints.

Left Wing Psycho-Ops

From the American Thinker:

The Daily Kos recently released an odd poll of Republican voters -- and now The Politico and other liberal organizations are trying to use it to make Republicans forget their basic convictions...

namely: "those basic convictions include low taxes, a belief in the private sector, a strong national defense, and a very tough stance on terrorists. Oh yeah. And no Obamacare!"

Desperate Times And Left Wing Psy-Ops

Got it, GOP?

New Sweethearts

Have you noticed that Necco Sweethearts don't taste the same as they have for the last 145 years?

My daughters, lifelong Sweetheart fans, don't like the bold new flavors.

According to The Candyblog , you can still find the traditional candies, but we haven't seen them in our area.

Candy is serious business. Necco doesn't want a New Coke debacle on their hands.

Dumbed Down Down

This entry from the WashingtonTimes.com gave me a good laugh:

Obama's SOTU Speech Scores Readability Of An Eighth Grader, Two Grades Below GWB

I guess when you're president, you have to speak to your base.

:-)

Bower In Chief

Obama bows to Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio at MacDill Air Force Base on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010 in Tampa, Florida.

My reaction was one of incredulity. When Mayor Iorio went to my daughter's school, not one kid bowed to her.

Is there no end to this madness?
