Leap Day
It takes the Earth 365.2422 days, on average, to make a full rotation around the sun. Approximately every four years, an extra day is added to February in order to make up for the extra time and keep us in line with the seasons.
You can read more interestng facts about the calendar:
What Is A Leap Year?
It's not really an extra day, but enjoy it anyway.

Guv'Nahs Feast
Michelle Lets Governors Gorge On 2,000 Calorie Dinner
First, I'm no food expert, but this menu plan leaves much room for critique especially when you're known for spearheading the movement that Americans cut down on their caloric intake.
Second, taste-wise, I think this menu is ghastly. Crab in mac-and-cheese? Ewww.
Spinach is fine, but creamed, and after the weird mac-and-cheese?
*sigh*
The only Governor who's satisfied today is Governor Brewer who chose not to attend.

ZZZZZZZzzzzzzz
I don't know how scientifically credible it is, but from BBC News online comes this interesting article about our sleep habits...
The Myth Of The Eight Hour Sleep
I'm often up in the wee hours, but unlike the Savage Chicken, I don't stress out about it. I use the time to read or watch TV until I fall asleep again. And we're usually up with the chickens at our house no matter how little sleep we've gotten that night.
That's how the Cube family rolls :-)

Cat Blog Friday
For this Cat Blog Friday...
... an interesting, but scientifically unproven article entitled:
How Your Cat Is Making You Crazy
via a microscopic parasite, Toxoplasma gondii, excreted by cats in their feces.
Just food for thought because sometimes science is stranger than fiction.
Happy Friday, everybody and don't let the parasites bite :-)

SUPER Bowl
I knew going in that the odds were that the Patriots would win, but I still rooted for the Giants. What a shocker of an ending. Woot!
Tom Brady In Postgame Daze Of Disappointment After Another Super Bowl Loss To The Giants
Almost made me feel sorry for Brady... almost.
