Excellent link about Thomas Jefferson and his problems with Muslims. Of course he used the Koran to do his research! Jefferson was a scholar.

Ellison has schmoozed the media and the American people with his use of the Koran for the photo-op. Worse. the symbolism of Ellison's using the Koran will not be lost on Muslims as they "see" Allah trumping our Constitution.

Wow, great stuff. Thanks for this link.

aow2: the MSM made sure the swearing in photo op was widely disseminated, but not a peep about the real story behind Jefferson's use of the koran.

Did you catch the s***-eating grin on the loopy Pelosi's face? Oh, what a spectacle.

Shocking to see you citing Jefferson, the true founder of modern political liberalism and enemy of conservatism!

AOW is 110% correct! If Ellison, or any other libbie for that matter, thinks that Friday sermon in Islamic mosques will not have a pic of that photo op accompanied by cries of "Allahu Akbar," they are either dumb or already a dhimmi.

d.a.: I must give the man his due. He was right about the moslems.

brooke: absolutely. And Ellison is more that just a garden variety libbie. Isn't he a Farakanner from way back?

The MSM does a disservice to the country by not reporting the truth behind that staged photo op.

BTW Jeff/Slash recommended another good column that also refers to this issue:

Christopher Hitchens' piece from Slate Jefferson's Quran:
What the founder really thought about Islam
