Pelosi Pushes

House Democrats Win Key Test Vote On Climate Bill

The Red Queen is out to crush us in her osteoarthritic grip and the brunt of the news is focusing on Michael Jackson's career.

I can only hope the legislature wakes up and HR 2454, a.k.a., the Cap & Trade bill gets crushed instead.

Politics lately. Very depressing indeed.

It is depressing.

And what is congress doing pausing for a moment of silence for Michael Jackson? He was not a national hero. This was inappropriate. He was a talented musician but that was it. He did nothing for the country. He was never proven to be a molester, but he was a whack job sure as shooting.

Steve Harkonnen: That is an understatement.

Jan: I see your point.

Ananda Girl: I agree. Congress should be paying more attention to the millions of taxpayers who don't want this job-killing, tax-increase-to-beat-all-tax-increases legislation rather than to the non-stop media coverage of Jackson's career. 24/7 coverage of an event can give it a sense of inflated importance.

More & more this is looking like yet another celebrity death by overdose. I feel bad for the poor
children in his wake.

Well, the House passed it 219-212. So now it's up to the Senate to crush this stupid bill.

The government needs to do their job rather than interfering with things like this. I sometimes think they're trying to kill our economy on purpose instead of just bumbling into it like fools.
