Cube - You said it - an amazing mind. I'm lucky if I can do math needed for housewife reasons.

Are you a whiz at math - too?

I did well with math but lost my confidence when my work was always double checked because I was a girl. She was a marvel and especially so because she was a she.

By the way, our new kitten is Catness. Thanks!

Sue Hanes: No math whiz here. Algebra and trigonometry were easier, but I worked to get the grades I needed in three semesters of calculus to earn my biology degree.

I marvel at the minds who came up with all of it. I just suffered through the mighty steps they created.

All my life I have had an affinity for solving puzzles and brain twister problems... no math there, just fun ;-)

Granny Annie: It's awful that your math ability was questioned the way it was. Societal mores about girls not being good at math and science could change quickly if it became a cool thing... so far, no good.

Granny Annie: I'm loving the idea of Catness, though. That is one cool cat name even if I say so myself ;-)
