For this Cat Blog Friday...
... a cat vs. a lobster.
I couldn't find the pics of our cat, Baldy, reacting to live lobsters shipped to our house so I had to settle for a Google image. In either case, it's lucky for the cat that the lobsters were wearing rubber bands on their claws.
:-)
Happy Friday everybody!

If not for the rubber bands this would not end well for the cat.
Exactly. Baldy, our black domestic short hair female was all curious about the lobsters. If only she knew the hurting they'd put on her if they weren't banded she wouldn't have been so fearless.
Yep, good on keeping the bands on those claws. They are wicked. Too cute and they taste mighty good too.
Have a fabulous weekend. :)
I've been clawed by crabs of various sizes, and gotten a small bite from
a shark, but I've always bested the lobsters.
Now please pass the melted butter.
But did the cat get any after it was cooked?
Woodsterman (Odie): Oh yeah, she got some and she acted as though it was delicious. I don't think she put it together that it was the creature she had been sniffing earlier, but she loved eating it nonetheless.
Only once did I bring live lobsters home. Our cat back then -- a huge Siamese -- was scared of the lobster. Usually, she wasn't afraid of much. Too funny!
Always On Watch: Our cats have never been very curious of live lobsters, but the lobsters have always been banded. I wonder how it would turn out if they'd met a lobster in the wild... Lobster 1 Cat 0
