Juan Out

NPR Ends Williams' Contract After Muslim Remarks

Somebody fill me in... what was so bad about Juan's comment?

I'm not a Juan Williams fan because he's an Obama Liberal. Having said that, Williams' being fired from a liberal media outlet like NPR is a far bigger scandal than having Williams speak his mind, saying what likely 95% of Americans think about Islamic people in burkas who board aircraft.

I for one (not Muslim, not a liberal) would rather see them take a different airplane.

I have felt for years that Juan Williams is a closet conservative. His liberal rantings seem strained and non convincing to me. He just parrots the accepted line without any real conviction or passion.

He's had to do it to be a professional liberal.

LL: I would never ban anyone from commenting on my blog whether I agreed with them or not. But then again I'm not a whining idiot liberal that runs away when they are confronted with an opinion with which they don't agree.

You and your opinions are safe here :-)

I wrote on this. Do you know George Soros gave NPR a couple of mil this week in between the comments and his being fired? Just found that a little interesting.

What's wrong with Williams' comment is that it to close to the truth for the libs to handle.

Jan: You may be right, but it might also be a case of Juan gradually seeing things more clearly since 9/11. Look at the transformation of Dennis Miller.

Chuck: The NPR/Soros money connection is all over the news. It wasn't news to me because I long suspected a link. I'm glad it's out in the open... finally.

And you're right. The libs can't handle the truth. They prefer to live in an imaginary bubble where they get to make up the rules.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with what Juan said. It just happened to go against the liberal cookie cutter mold though. Libs have proven, yet again, just how intolerant they are towards individuals' freedom of speech.

So much for honesty

I totally agree with everything you say. Of course, I do get all my opinions from blogs like this one.

I was angry about NPR/Soros. It's nothing like RGA/Murdoch at all. Murdoch is a man concerned about the American people. His bottom line doesn't concern him, he just wants to make sure we live in a free society where we don't have to disclose our political donations.

Teresa: According to the left, it's only free speech if they agree with it.

Annoying Joe: Truth is relative to the left.

James: Yes, you're totally right when you say NPR/Soros is nothing like RGA/Murdoch. I'm glad we agree ;-)
