Daily Mail: UK Subways Drop Bacon And Ham From Menu To Comply With Halal
"Nearly 200 Subway restaurants across the United Kingdom no longer serve bacon or ham, and will instead serve only halal-prepared meat in an effort to “balance the values of many religious communities,"
Balance?
Where's the balance?
Go eat your halal meat at home and leave our restaurants alone.

Cube - I'm with you. People can order what they like. If they don't want ham on their sub they don't have to order it.
Its how they slaughter the meat too. I don't even want to get started with Muslims. Not at all. They come into a country and change it to what they want. Not what the country is. It's bull.
Have a fabulous day. :)
I don't get this at all. If you don't want to eat bacon or ham, order something else. Just because you don't like something, it doesn't mean other people should stop eating it. Gah. This sort of thing drives me crazy.
It will be interesting to see if they get more muslim customers than bacon and ham lovers.
Sue Hanes: It's common sense. You don't take something off the menu because some group insists on it.
Sandee: I don't care what they do in their own countries, but when they come into modern countries, they had better learn the rules or go home, i.e, the stone age. Giving in to their extremely demands will only cause problems that we don't need.
Robin: You make total sense, but moslems and their unusual food requirements are just idiotic. If they can't play well with others, then they need to pick up their ball of indiscriminate halal and go home.
Jan: You know what, that's a good quetion. It will be in the affirmative if it's in one of the counties where all the Brits have left and it's predominantly moslem.
Really????
Subway, because of your unwillingness to stand up to bullies, I'll be getting my sandwiches somewhere else. I never reward cowardice or stupidity.
Granny Annie: That's what I felt too. Well, a little more strongly, it was more like WTF?
If you don't want to eat something, nobody is forcing to to eat it. This law makes it unlawful for me to eat something legal that I want to eat, but your religion tells me it's not and therefore everyone else needs to comply?
I'm going back to WTF?
Woodsterman (Odie): I totally agree. I'm not going to spend my money at your weak-kneed shop. Go to halal!
