It's maddening, isn't it? The gall of some people.
Decades ago, watching the news, I saw an African woman living in London complaining vociferously about the fact that her child didn't have PLANTAINS for lunch. That has stuck with me over the years as the plantain demand... foreshadowing, eh?
Even more decades ago, when I first started school, all they gave us to drink at lunch was a glass of orange juice and a carton of white milk. I didn't like either and I complained to my mom about it when I got home. Well, my mom said either you drink what they give you or you go thirsty.
It should be that way everywhere for everyone. You eat what you are served or you do without or provide for yourself. There have been plenty of times I have objected to an institutional type meal but it never dawned on me to stage a protest. We are all becoming accustomed to raising a ruckus anytime something doesn't' appeal to us individually and it is ridiculous what it costs to try to meet the demands of the few who take offense.

They immigrate into a country and then try to change it to be more like the country they couldn't wait to leave?

No plantain demands at our house.
It's about time someone stopped their whining about every single thing they don't like. Love this.
Have a fabulous day. ☺

Most French people are not in agreement with Marine Le Pen.
Funnily enough when my children were at school, meat wasn't on the menu on Fridays. I think that the report you link to doesn't give the whole story.
