Emmy Noether

Amalie Emmy Noether shares a birthday with my sister... one is a hero in my life and one is a hero in math...

Emmy Noether

I've already sent personal birthday wishes to my dear sister, but this one is for Emmy.

You did some fine work.

It's hard to believe that women had such a tough time being taken seriously back then. Seven years with no pay?

She was brilliant indeed.

Have a fabulous evening. ☺

Jan: The all male oriented excesses of the past towards women was why the feminist movement was necessary. For me, it was always about the right to do a job and make commensurate pay for the job you did. I think we got that thanks to pioneers like Emmy Noether who took the arrows for us.

Sandee: One of my heroes. Despite all the odds, what a mind.

Sue Hanes: I hope she's listening ;)

DaBlade: Math is hard, but imagine how much harder it is for the men and women who come up with the concepts that we all follow in class. Now those are some brains.
