The secret to a long life would seem to be not moving unless there is a very compelling reason to.

Jonathan the Tortoise reaches ripe old age of 183 all by himself on an island in the south Atlantic. Now a do-gooder doctor is putting him on a healthy diet and signed him up on obamacare. Bye bye Johnny.

I thought I was old.

Does this mean no more bacon, steaks and pizza. Why would he want to live longer?

Nope, I'm the oldest living land animal.

Those tortoises can live a long, long time. They have to, i think, to get anywhere!

I am pretty sure they need to check Jonathan. He appears to be fossilized.

I can attest for Kid.

Kid is older than 183-year-old Johnny? If we are measuring in tortoise years, these last 7 years have aged me about 200 turtles.

Cube - Think of all the things this tortoise has seen. How the world has changed since he has been alive.

Tortoises have always appealed to me.

What's more, I appeal to them! For some weird reason, turtles are drawn to me. Even the personnel at the zoo have commented on how tortoises are drawn to me: they lumber over and actually seem to want me to pet their extended heads.
